Register now for the webinars running from August, to reflect on effective literacy and numeracy instruction.
Registration is now open for online learning to improve teachers' knowledge of literacy and numeracy instruction.
Held through the Bastow Institute of Educational Learning, the professional learning program will help teachers to create a school culture with a rich literacy and numeracy focus.
Three free webinars aimed at literacy leaders and teachers interested in expanding their knowledge of literacy are now open for registration. The webinar series enriches literacy practice from Foundation to Year 8.
The webinars have been designed in response to teachers' requests for further exploration of how an instructional Workshop Model is being implemented, including examples of the model being used by educators. The Workshop Model provides a student-centred approach to literacy instruction.
Each 90-minute webinar will help teachers:
- explore practice in action
- reflect on their experiences and context
- contribute to group discussion.
The webinars begin on Wednesday 11 August. Although each webinar is standalone, it is recommended that teachers attend all three.
To register for a webinar, refer to the Bastow website.
Bastow's 15-week, free online numeracy course program addresses four key areas of mathematics leading and learning, to support teachers in making positive changes in schools.
These courses are designed for primary and secondary numeracy or mathematics leaders and curriculum coordinators.
