Registrations now open for 2022 Victorian Teachers' Games

Sign up for the annual sport and social event that helps teachers connect, compete, participate and be inspired

Registrations are open for the 2022 Victorian Teachers' Games (VTG).

This annual event will be held in Geelong from Sunday 18 to Wednesday 21 September 2022, during the school holidays.

The VTG is a major event that gives teachers the chance to relax, enjoy competitive and social sporting activities, connect with peers and be inspired to make physical activity a part of their lives.

Anyone employed by a school is eligible to attend, including casual relief teachers.

Enhancing staff health and wellbeing

The VTG is designed to give teaching teams across the state a circuit breaker – a chance to play sport, connect with their colleagues and have fun away from the classroom.

Former participants have found the event a unique way to build team morale and enhance staff health and wellbeing.

VTG is a great opportunity to get active, connect with colleagues and meet other teachers from across Victoria.

What's on

The games will include a mix of sporting, recreational and social events. Sports include mixed netball, lawn bowls, beach volleyball, dodgeball and croquet, among others.

Attendees can also attend social, recreational and wellness activities such as yoga, breakfast, stand-up paddleboarding, trivia events and local tours.

In 2022, the VTG celebrates its 25th anniversary. Two social events are set to commemorate the occasion, including a birthday ball.
