The Department of Education and Training's (the Department) new Arc website includes virtual learning experiences for students and online professional learning opportunities to support virtual teaching.
The website, which includes events and classroom resources, aims to build the capability of teachers and support improved learning outcomes for students.

Virtual learning experiences available now
The Department has worked closely with partners to develop a range of virtual learning experiences for students to support continuity of learning during the period of remote and flexible learning. Teachers can find and register their classes for these experiences on the Events page on Arc. Providers include:
Ecolinc – STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) for primary and lower secondary students
EarthEd – STEM for primary students
Quantum Victoria – 3D modelling and design for upper primary and lower secondary students
Gene Technology Access Centre – STEM for upper primary and secondary students (includes VCE Biology)
The Song Room – live streamed music classes for primary students
Australian Ballet – STEAM-Dance workshops for primary and secondary students
Melbourne Zoo – virtual excursions and student webinars including the STEM Design Challenge for primary and secondary students.
Teacher professional learning available now
Professional learning to support teachers to continue to build their expertise in using digital tools and platforms to support virtual teaching and learning is now available on Arc. Professional learning sessions and resources are available from quality providers including Apple, Microsoft, Google, as well as the Department.
