Victorian Teachers' Games 2021 schedule launches

The Victorian Teachers’ Games celebrates its 25th anniversary in Geelong this September

The Victorian Teachers’ Games (VTG) is a unique, annual event that will celebrate its 25th anniversary this September.

The VTG will bring Victorian educators together for four days and nights of sporting and social events. The games will be held in Geelong this year from Sunday 19 September to Wednesday 22 September.

This event is planned to look very different to last year, when the VTG went virtual. An online ‘wellness month’ saw educators take part in virtual cross country, pilates, yoga, bootcamp and trivia.

This year, teachers will enjoy the chance to compete in sports including returning favourites such as netball, an ‘Amazing Race’ and lawn bowls. New activities such as human foosball, kayak paddleball and reformer pilates will feature in 2021.

Returning participants

This year’s VTG will include half-day events so participants can make the most of their time in Geelong, ensuring they don't miss 25th anniversary celebrations.

These celebrations will give participants the chance to explore the Geelong social scene, a cocktail ball on Monday 20 September and other opportunities to spend time with fellow competitors away from the sporting field.
